In Where the Wild Still Walks, a lone grizzly moves through a forest of pale trunks and lush undergrowth. Painting the bear in its home reflects my Métis heritage and the connection I feel to the land and its wildlife. The 10 x 10 in painting was created with acrylic paint on gallery wrapped (1.5 inch) stretched canvas and sealed with gloss varnish.
